Believe it or not, there are fish in most bodies of water. Search online for nearby bodies of water. Start with public parks or nature preserves, and check that fishing is allowed. Ask friends or family to recommend a favorite spot. Better yet, invite them along! You can also scan this interactive map to find a place to fish near you.
Cast & Seek products are designed to help you catch freshwater fish. Some common freshwater fish are bass, bluegill, sunfish, crappie, perch, catfish, etc.
One of the most important items any angler needs to get started? A fishing license. Each state has its own regulations and offers both short and long-term licenses. WHY? You contribute to state conservation programs. Fishery management, habitat protection, and fishing education depend on you!
Regulations vary state by state, but in many places anglers under 16 years old don’t need a license. There are also free fishing days in some states. Click here to learn more and purchase a fishing license for any state!
